Use the EPA Grant to Restore Underutilized Properties
Brownfield Assessment EPA Grant
Brownfield Assessment grant from the
US Environmental Protection Agency
In 2019, the Northern Arizona Council of Governments (NACOG) received a $600,000 Brownfield Assessment Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The goal? To help turn neglected or underused properties into valuable spaces that can breathe new life into our communities.
This is a chance to clean up the past and build a stronger future — but time is running out. The grant expires in September 2023, so if you know a property that could benefit, now’s the time to speak up!
NACOG is overseeing the grant with support from a team of environmental experts led by Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
Site Reuse & Revitalization Route 66 Coalition
Funding is now available through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields Assessment Grant to support environmental site assessments, building material surveys for hazardous substances, and cleanup/reuse planning.
This is a great opportunity for property owners, businesses, developers, and community leaders to get involved in revitalizing underused spaces. Whether you’re looking to support local economic growth, protect public health, or help restore the environment — this funding can help make it happen.
Let’s work together to turn potential into progress across Northern Arizona.
